Margaux Arramon-Tucoo

Growing up in the French seaside town of Biarritz, in between the canvas of her mother's studio and the gentle waves of the Atlantic ocean, Margaux Arramon-Tucoo started to appreciate the symbiosis of surfing and art at an early age. Surfing follows art, art follows surfing. For Margaux, both have been tied to each other for as long as she can remember; she draws in order to surf, and she surfs in order to draw. Her longboarding embodies the grace and classiness of a girl following her own path in today's fast moving world, while her drawings symbolize the omnipresent cycle of life by describing the beautiful and spiritual union of human beings and the earth. Minuscule flowers force us to spend time to see and observe the world through Margaux's eyes – a world that she extends with every trip, with every wave, with every brushstroke. It's her love for details and living life at her own pace, that makes the 21 year old traveler, surfer and painter a child of tomorrow's generation and a keeper of yesterday's heritage at the same time.

"Margaux Arramon-Tucoo creates a world that suits her. She rides longboards in the era of ever-shorter. She paints kaleidoscopic rainbows of shapes and color that do not betray her first love." -- San Francisco based blog Terasu on Margaux.
